Uganda 2026
In July of 2026, we are sending a team to Kibaale, Uganda to serve with our partners at Transformed For Life, who has worked with vulnerable children for over 13 years.
They cultivate community development, family reunification, trauma care and so much more!
They also host a school that provides high quality education for traumatized girls. They now have over 150 students ages 3-12!
Our team will provide training for teachers, library support and will host a week-long camp for the students.
By investing in trauma-informed education at a school that fosters a safe and loving environment, 1,000s of at-risk children will be equipped to radically transform their families, communities and the country.

More About Transformed For Life
After years of our non-profit working with street children and sexually exploited women in the slums of Kampala, Transformed for Life continually saw the same push-factors for children and teens running from their biological families to the streets: poverty, trauma, domestic violence, divorce and the lack of an education. We were working with vulnerable people who had been hurt in their homes and then traumatized further by the extreme abuse, violence and exploitation of the streets.
We recognise that only true hope, salvation and transformation can come through Jesus Christ. Therefore all of our programs from education to health and tree planting are focused on the love of Jesus and drawing people to Him. We value not only evangelism but discipleship as we walk along side people and the local church to teach, train and strengthen their walk with God.
In 2018 we decided to shift our focus from an emergency response of street children to prevention of street children coming to the streets in the first place. We decided to do that through construction of a school where we could provide a high-quality and free Christian education to vulnerable children who would otherwise receive none. We also decided that we would empower the people that love these children more than anyone else- their mothers. We moved our family and ministry to the village in Western Uganda where we now run a school and community empowerment programs for 2,000 families. We are also working to holistically train and empower the entire support network around children in our community- pastors, local leaders, and parents so that children have a supportive community around them. We also work to provide emergency support and ongoing care to children in crisis who have been trafficked, abandoned, orphaned or abused.
Transformed for Life also believes that conservation of the beautiful world around us is of utmost importance. As we are working with substance farmers, we have seen how climate change has had a severe negative impact on their lives. We are working hard to sensitize our communities on the importance of wildlife and trees as well as to do our part to protect wildlife and plant trees.
